Editorial

The IPBPM was presented to the community at September 2007, in Museu da Água, Lisbon and the first event, BPM LISBON 2008 occurred at the first days of April.

It was a conference about BPM approaches and, at the same time, a BPMS' software exhibit. Our goal is to make it an annual reference for those who are interested in Business Process Management.

A provisional version of the IPBPM site gave support to the conference's organization. Soon, a new edition will allow the required communication that we want to offer to the BPM community and all interested party in IPBPM activities.

This newsletter, IPBPM Newsletter, represents other important landmark in the strengthening of the Portuguese Institute of BPM. This first number is dedicated to the success of BPM Lisbon 2008.

Next numbers will report the main events that IPBPM is going to prepare and the results of those we have organized and other relevant activities. I hope IPBPM Newsletter will carry out the responsibility of being a privileged information channel of the members of the Institute and of those who have registered on the site.

I want to thank the enthusiasm, the collaboration and the dedication to all that joined us in this initiative to make IPBPM a reference and a success.
